Fun Rehearsal! Venue at Corazon

I had a wonderful time with this sweet couple, Jia Shi and Bin Zhu. I was so happy to serve as their wedding officiant at the Venue at Corazon in Dublin, Ohio, near Columbus! Their family and friends were all there to support them as we conducted their rehearsal, and covered the details of their wedding ceremony.

Renaissance Wedding Rehearsal - Columbus, Ohio

I had a fun time at Lindsey & Jimmy's wedding rehearsal! I was their officiant in Columbus, Ohio at the Renaissance Hotel. Aren't they a handsome couple and isn't the Renaissance a beautiful wedding venue as seen in these photos? Being a part of their marriage was a privilege, and I will remember them with warm thoughts well into the future!

Mark & Sarah marry at Darby House

As their wedding officiant, I had the pleasure of performing the ceremony for this great couple at the Darby House. Columbus, Ohio offers many fine venues and this one is amazing. It actually is situated in Galloway, Ohio, and is filled with charm and beauty.

Sarah's beautiful train caught quite a bit of attention!

Lauren & Darin - Our Lady of Victory

Here we go at Our Lady of Victory Reception Hall in Columbus, Ohio, (technically it's in Marble Cliff). As the wedding officiant for Lauren & Darin, I believe I was one of the very few to solemnize a wedding there without being a priest. Life's circumstances can be interesting at times, but I certainly loved celebrating with this beautiful couple on their special day!

Below, Lauren is repeating her vows which read in part, "I give you this ring as as sign of my promise". It was very sweet.  

A happy moment below..."it is my honor and privilege to now pronounce you husband and wife! You may kiss the bride!".

A joyous day and great weather too! Here is the lovely bride with her happy groom. Darin seems very satisfied at this moment. Lauren and Darin, I enjoyed my time with you and wish you many happy years together!

You may find this hard to believe but the professional photographer who took these images requested to remain completely anonymous. He was kind enough to share them with us, but he does not want to work in the wedding industry as he is active in another field. We are grateful to him and would have listed his contact info if it were not for his request.

Wedding Venues - Creekside in gahanna

I had the chance to stop by Creekside Conference and Event Center , and spend some time with Katherine Howes who is the Event Coordinator. It was cool. I know I was feeling a little tired. Thankfully, Katherine was her usual kind self and we had a great visit. Creekside’s GM, Erik Niceswanger (no photo), was busy doing payroll while Katherine and I took some time to talk and plan for future weddings.  It's good to understand that every venue has its own policies and procedures.

If you would like a wedding rehearsal, make sure that you check with your venue about their exact rehearsal-scheduling policies.  I encourage you not assume anything because I have seen where a misunderstanding of this has caused tension. When planning for something as important as a wedding, with guests potentially coming in from out of town, you will want to have clear time frames. Some venues can guarantee a rehearsal time when you plan a wedding with them, others are unable to accommodate unless you rent the extra time also. Ask lots of questions to avoid any misunderstandings. Of course if possible, get it in writing. You can avoid a great deal of wedding stress if you get complete, clear answers.

Here you can see some of the outdoor serenity and beauty of Creekside. Outdoor weddings are a regular part of things. And they have awesome accommodations for indoor events as well.

In this last photo Katherine and I are reviewing Creeksides’s policies about events and weddings. They have a great deal of flexibility in serving a wide-range of group sizes. It is really a lot more lovely on the inside than seen here. I just didn’t get photos of the glass-surrounded dome ceiling for indoor ceremonies. Very nice.
